Hi, hey, and hello! My name is Sinmi Sowande (she/her) and I am a sophomore from Lagos, Nigeria. I am an international student and an intended Economics major, with a special interest in global and African development issues. Outside my major, I love learning about happiness psychology, social justice issues, and generally viewing our world systems through different lenses. I like to think of myself as a film and TV buff, with some honorable tv/movie mentions including Avatar: The Last Airbender, Baby Driver, Fantastic Mr fox, Clueless, and Lord of the Rings (the range of this list probably hints at how random my taste can be). I also love to go out social dancing, and some of my favorite dance styles are swing and salsa! When the weather is nice, I love to be outside crocheting, taking photographs, and journaling. I cannot wait to meet you all and hope I can support you as you make invaluable, unforgettable memories this summer.
