About Sean

Sean Cotner

Sean Cotner is a 3rd year math PhD student at Stanford, originally from State College, Pennsylvania. Before coming to Stanford, he was an undergraduate at Penn State, where he received a Bachelor's degree in mathematics. Sean's research interests lie in algebraic geometry and number theory. He is also very interested in helping students at all levels, including in the challenging transition from high school to college math. He has experience working with the ACE program which gives calculus students extra resources to aid in learning, and he is excited to work with LSP this year. In his free time, Sean likes to play the guitar.
