About Salei

Salei Salanoa

Heyyy!! I'm Salei (pronounced suh-lay) and any/all pronouns are fine by me. I was born and raised in Inglewood, CA and somehow ended up at Stanford studying Psychology and Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity (CSRE). On campus, I dance with Los Salseros de Stanford, work at the Office for Inclusion, Belonging and Intergroup Communication (IBIC) as a student staff member, and sing in the shower because I'm not in any a cappella groups...I could never hehe. If you can look past the fact that I'm 6'4", then you'll find that I'm just a gentle giant who loves playing Super Smash Bros, eating Hot Cheetos and engaging in conversations surrounding diversity, equity and inclusion. Although I am also a part of the Queer (LGBTQ+) and Latine communities, the FLI community has a special place in my heart. LSP is the only reason Stanford feels like home, and all I want to do is share that feeling. I’m looking forward to hearing all of your stories and fostering a community of care and love with you all. Can't wait to welcome you all to the family! <3
