Math instructor Daniel Oluwalana

Daniel Oluwalana is a first-year master’s student in the Aero/Astro department here at Stanford. He also studied aerospace engineering with a minor in economics during his undergraduate career at Syracuse University. As an undergrad, Daniel was an active member of the Syracuse chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers. He served as its Pre-College Initiative (PCI) Chair in his second year, Academic Excellence Chair in his third year, and the organization president in his senior year. Furthermore, Daniel was an Academic Excellence Workshop Facilitator and has led one-credit courses in Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Statics, Mechanics of Solids, and Fluid Mechanics for engineering and computer science students.At Stanford, Daniel has served as a course assistant for AA 156 (Composite Materials), AA 100 (Introduction to Aeronautics and Astronautics), and AA 149 (Operations of Aerospace Systems). He is from Lagos, Nigeria, and plans to use his education to build and optimize aerospace power generating systems.
